Allison Barrett, former GM for Nanawale Community Assoc. will be taking over for the Neighborhood Watch program.  We wish her continued success in making Nanawale a safer place for all residents.  Please see below a message from Allison.

Aloha!
We are looking for volunteers to help manage and grow the program for Nānāwale so grab a neighbor and come meet our Community Police Officer!
Please note that I am no longer employed at the longhouse but am continuing to volunteer and participate in community events as I have in the past. Going forward, if you need to contact me, please use allisonmariebarrett@gmail.com.
It has been an honor to work with the residents of Nānāwale as an employee and to continue that work as a dedicated volunteer.

Mahalo,
Allison

This committee is comprised of a group of neighborhood volunteers that work with our Community Police Officer (CPO) from the Pahoa Police Station to patrol areas for suspicious activity, locate abandoned vehicles in our neighborhood, conduct wellness checks and other related services.  The program is an observe-and-report group only and does not provide security services or long-term drive-by services. The group holds no liability for any criminal activity which may occur during a homeowner's absence. This active group meets monthly and is separate from the Nanawale Community Association.  We will provide the facilities to meet and plan only.

Neighborhood Watch (NW) Contact Process

Anyone having an emergency or witnessing violent criminal activities should contact 911, not the NCA or NW. The NCA cannot and will not be held liable for emergency issues reported to them instead of to the appropriate authorities.

Please pass this info along to your neighbors and let them know it is the fastest and most efficient way to contact the NCA and the NW with any non-emergency issues they come across.

Emergency: 911

Police non-emergency line: (808) 935-3311
