In June 2020, The Kau, Keaau and Pahoa Complex had piloted a program for the students of Keonepoko, Pahoa Elementary and Pahoa High and Intermediate.
The program's success gained momentum as the Mobile Learning labs two locations, in Nanawale and the Maku'u Farmer's Market gained students not only from those schools but also from Kamehameha, Keaau and the Hawaii Academy of Arts and Sciences.
In order to enroll, the parents would need to contact their child's school. Students would also need to obtain their school login information to complete course work.
Each day the students would be health screened and temperatures taken. Students were required to wear masks during class times. Students began each day with Reading and math followed by Health and Fitness. Daily Lunch and Snacks were provided.
After Lunch, the students would do Arts and Crafts before heading home.
June 2020 - July 2020
8am to 12pm
Monday and Wednesday: Nanawale Longhouse
Tuesday and Thursday: Maku'u Farmer's Market
It is unsure if the Mobile Learning Lab will become available during the upcoming school year.
For more information, please contact your child's school.
